Frozen World

A bird’s eye view of the Kluane Icefield from a Cessna 205 soaring above Kluane National Park, Yukon.  The Kluane Icefield is the largest non-polar icefield in the world; it is located in a spectacular natural area comprising four parks along the Yukon/Alaska border – Kluane National Park, Wrangell St. Elias National Park, Glacier Bay National Park and Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park.  These parks are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. I can’t really find appropriate words to describe the awesome, powerful, spectacular, immense beauty of the place; this picture will have to do the talking for me.
