Space Age City

A recent snapshot of Toronto City Hall at sunset.  This modernist building was designed by Finnish architect Viljo Revell and completed in 1965.  Because of it futuristic look it has been used in a number of movies and television programs, the most notable for me was the original Star Trek episode titled All Our Yesterdays.  It was also featured in the Star Trek Next Generation episode titled Contagion as an alien portal, and in the movie Resident Evil.  On some days it is easy to imagine the politicians in there being from another planet because they certainly do not seem to understand the day to day issues on this planet.
